Welcome to Daisy Hill State
School, located in the tranquil suburb of Daisy Hill, Queensland. We
pride ourselves on being a nurturing, safe learning environment for students
from Prep to Year 6.
Our school vision is to provide a welcoming and personalised learning environment designed to inspire active learners in a natural setting to ensure they leave as knowledgeable, confident, resilient individuals.
We strive to work
collaboratively to ensure high achievements for all students. This involves a
commitment to high levels of learning and wellbeing for every child through a
safe, supportive environment. By providing differentiated instruction and
programs to support the goals of each student, we ensure different styles of
learning are recognised and considered.
As a professional learning community
committed to continual improvement, Daisy Hill State School has a
vision of all students learning every day. This encompasses many facets
of learning to provide students with an education to succeed in a complex,
changing world. Students will be given opportunities to develop to be
responsible, happy, resilient and socially adept.
We value the partnerships formed with
parents, caregivers and our local community to support our students on their
learning journey. When parents agree to make Daisy Hill State
School the school of choice, we commit to working with you to ensure we
optimise the learning of all children whilst instilling a sense of belonging.
Daisy Hill State School provides for
academic success as well as a diverse range of art, cultural, music and
sporting opportunities. Our school is technologically focused with
computer spaces in each classroom and a large bank of iPads.
Sustainability is a focal point for our
school community. We work in close partnership with Daisy Hill Koala Park
to provide a consistent food supply for Koalas from our eucalypt
plantation. Classroom teachers have the ability to grow fresh produce and
our tuckshop produces a supply of vegetables which are used on a daily
basis. Students are exposed to ‘paddock to plate’ sustainability as they
cultivate and harvest crops throughout the year.
