Daisy Hill State School prides itself on its communication with parents. This involves newsletters, regular notes and updates about school procedures/routines, phone calls and emails with parents. Parents are also welcome at our assemblies and at our as we celebrate the achievements and efforts of our student body.
It is vital that parents/carers form a strong, open relationship with their classroom teacher, as this is the person in the school who will come to know your child best. They are the person who will initiate conversations about how best to help your child, and they will be able to problem-solve situations with you. Parents/carers and teachers need to work closely together for the benefit of each child.
Parents are invited to an individual parent-teacher interview once a Semester to discuss their child’s progress within the classroom. These parent-teacher interviews take in discussions about student progress, as well as their child’s social emotional development. The interviews take place at the end of Term 1 and Term 3 with formal Report Cards issued at the end of Term 2 and Term 4. Interviews can be booked online through the link on our homepage.
