Enrolment Process

Enrolling in Prep at Daisy Hill State School is easy!

1. Check when your child can commence Prep

Prospective parents of prep enrolments are asked to view the Department's prep ready reckoner calculator to determine when your child can commence their preparatory year.

2. Check if you live inside our catchment zone

Please use this School Catchment Tool to see if you live inside our school catchment zone. You will be required to bring proof of address as part of the enrolment interview process. If you don't live inside our catchment area, you may still submit an enrolment enquiry, however, positions are subject to the terms set out in the enrolment management plan for Daisy Hill State School.

3. Complete an enrolment enquiry

Complete the online enquiry form to ensure a member of our Enrolments Team can contact you with any upcoming enrolment events and opportunities.

4.Book a Welcome Interview & School Tour

All enrolling Prep students and their parents/carers are required to participate in a Welcome to Prep enrolment interview. This is an opportunity for staff to meet your child, and for you to share information specifically about your child.

Our interactive school tour is designed to employ age appropriate pedagogies and promote early literacy skills as we use a story book and clues to lead us around our school environment. This is an opportunity for your child to explore their new environment as well as for you as their parent to see the school's facilities.

Welcome Interviews & School Tours will take place on various Saturdays throughout the year. We will be in touch to confirm upcoming Enrolment Events.

5.Complete your enrolment forms

Please pop into the office to collect a copy of your enrolment pack or download them from the documents tab on this website. Bring these completed forms along to your interview.

6.Transition Program

Our Transition Program is designed to support your child in their year prior starting prep.  These  opportunities will be held throughout the year and aim to help you and your child transition to school and feel comfortable at Daisy Hill State School.

For specific information about Transition Days, please contact our Enrolment Team via email enrolment@daisyhillss.eq.edu.au

We look forward to meeting your family soon!
